What is Electrolysis?

Electrolysis originated in the late 1800’s. It is the only treatment the FDA has cleared as permanent hair removal. During the procedure, a small probe is inserted into the hair follicle. This probe carries a gentle current that destroys the follicle. Since electrolysis does not target pigment, it is safe for all skin types and works on all colors of hair, regardless of the presence of pigment.
